چکیده

ObjectiveMetabolomic profiling of seminal plasma has been suggested as a possible approach for fast and non-invasive male infertility evaluation diagnosis. However, metabolomics profiles in normozoospermic men have not thoroughly investigated, the influence ejaculation-abstinence described. To provide interim reference values find associations between human length period men.Study designSemen samples collected after long (4–7 days) short abstinence (2 h) from 31 males were assessed routine quality parameters before was separated by centrifugation. Metabolomics then determined using untargeted Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy.ResultsIn total, 30 metabolites identified. Pyruvate showed higher concentration, while fructose, acetate, choline, methanol, N-acetylglucosamine, O-acetylcarnitine, uridine, sn-glycero-3-phosphocoline lower concentrations (vs. long). All absolute amounts (volume × concentration) following shorter abstinence. sperm concentration resulted pyruvate taurine per spermatozoa: 1.92 (1.12–3.87) vs. 1.29 (0.83–2.62) (P < 0.001) 0.58 (0.36–0.92) 0.43 (0.28–0.95) 0.05) ng/106 spermatozoa. Simultaneously, there percentage progressively motile spermatozoa abstinence.ConclusionThe generally periods may be related to time available secretion collection these accessory glands epididymides. The concomitant number second ejaculate increased spermatozoa, accompanied motility samples. The simultaneous increase percentages might indicate that two play more critical role motility, which should further investigated future studies.

Revisiting The Relationship between The Ejaculatory Abstinence Period and Semen Characteristics

Variations in the ejaculatory abstinence durations suggested by different guidance bodies have resulted in a growing concern among researchers over what the concise period of ejaculatory abstinence for an optimal semen sample ought to be. Several studies have been undertaken to examine the association between the length of sexual abstinence and semen characteristics. Not all studies, however, h...

Catecholamine Contents of Different Region of Adult Rat Brain Are Altered Following Short and Long-term Exposures to Pb+2

Catecholamine is a group of neurotransmitters that is believed to be responsible for the normal function of animal brain. Physiological and behavioral changes of human body have been reported due to the damage of the brain function following lead exposure. Due to the assumption of lead disposal in brain tissue with two year for its half-life, which results in alteration of brain function, we in...

Plasma metabolomics profiles in rats with acute traumatic brain injury

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a major cause of mortality and disability worldwide. We validated the utility of plasma metabolomics analysis in the clinical diagnosis of acute TBI in a rat model of controlled cortical impact (CCI) using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Thirty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into two groups of 15 rats each: the CCI group and sham group. B...
